It's Okay to Quit

"When you feel like quitting, remember why you started"

"Quitters never win and winners never quit"

"Push through the pain"

These quotes and others like them can have you feeling like you are a failure if you quit.  It's not true.  There should be no shame in quitting.

Sometimes it takes more courage, more strength and more self-preservation to choose to remove yourself from a bad situation.

When you remove yourself from a negative environment, you are taking care of yourself.  It is your life and you are in control of it.  You shouldn't be afraid or ashamed of looking out for yourself.

Don't allow anyone to tell you different. You absolutely have the right and the responsibility to protect yourself.  You make that call. Not someone else. No person, athlete or corporate CEO has the right to tell you what you should feel or what you should do with your life.

When you choose to take yourself 'out of the game' it is because you know, respect and like yourself too much to allow yourself to continue to be in an unhealthy situation.  And unhealthy is what you determine, it is not based on someone's else's perception.

You don't have an "obligation" to stay in a situation that is negative, harmful, abusive or soul draining.  You don't.

It's okay to quit. Really.

  2. Amen. We're so happy to hear that you are standing up for your personal space.

Because, if not you, then who?

Also, we can only be of service to others if we are taking care of our own mind, body, and soul.

SO, keep marching forward. AND, congrats on "that situation" not taking you down, but only making you wiser (sending virtual hugs).

    Love,

    Sabrina and Brandon Hix
